That's because once the root has been dug up and exposed to air it begins to give off a characteristic earthy, ripe smell that some people find off-putting. Never fear. We've added enough valerian to give you its renowned relaxing effect, while blending it with other pleasant herbs to create a nice tasting tea that will help you get relief from occasional sleeplessness.
