Product Description: Personality: Gentle, supportive and helpful.
Herbal Power: Promotes healthy skin, liver and kidney function.* Reason to Love: Living in an increasingly toxic world can take a toll on your body, even your skin. Responding to such concerns, our herbalists created this tea to help beautify skin by gently stimulating the body's natural detoxification process.* By helping the liver break down fats during digestion and by promoting flushing of the kidneys, the herbs in this tea gently support the body's ability to carry away wastes.* Pleasantly mild, bittersweet, and earthy, this tea is a classic European herbal combination of burdock root, stinging nettle and cleavers blended with lemon myrtle for a lemony-citrus taste.
Taste: Balanced bittersweet, with hints of aromatic citrus.

Stinging nettle (Urtica dioca) which you may know as a pesky and painful weed that pops up in your yard in the spring is also well-known as an all-around healthful tonic that has been traditionally combined with burdock and cleavers for hundreds of years.*Some of our favorite nettle is hand-picked (ouch!) by wild collectors in Poland, then dried and cut before being bundled up and sent on to us.

Warnings: Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have kidney failure, diabetes, or heart failure. Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the daisy (Asteraceae) family such as burdock and dandelion, or if you are allergic to stinging nettle. If hypersensitivity or allergic reactions occur, discontinue use. Do not use if you have liver or gall bladder disorders, or obstructions of the bile duct or intestinal tract, or in cases of active peptic ulcer. Discontinue use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. In sensitive individuals, mild gastrointestinal upset (nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea) or allergic reactions may occur from use of stinging nettle. Discomfort due to gastric hyperacidity may occur after taking herbs that contain bitter substances like dandelion root. Not recommended for use with children under 12 years of age.
