Beyond the filtration of indoor air for particulates, pollution, and odors is the removal of light gases which usually accompany strong, persistent odors. Where problem air of this magnitude exists, filtration is essential for the comfort and health of the people who breathe it. Air Vak Plus filters are designed to purify indoor air. The outer polyester media removes particulates from the air just like conventional HVAC filters. Contained inside the Carbonweb filter media are equal volumes of granular activated carbon and activated alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate to remove odors plus light gases. For light gas indoor air quality problems, Air Vak Plus provides a fresher, more odor-free environment.
Specifications:
The Air Vak Plus filter is interchangeable with conventional HVAC filters. The three stage filtration includes a 3/4" polyester media that removes particulates, a combination of patented Carbonweb and impregnated alumina media to absorbs odors, pollutants and light gases, and tertiary media removes stray particulates or carbon. All filters are UL tested: Class 2 approved. The filter is available with standard die-cut beverage board frames, metal frames, ring panels or in pads (for use in pad holding frames) in standard HVAC or custom sizes. They come packed in polyethylene to preserve capacity and cleanliness.
Filter Media:
The filter media consists of 3/4" polyester media to remove particulate and a patented Carbonweb filter media with 60% granular activated carbon and activated alumina impregnated with 5% potassium permanganate (KMnO4) to remove odors plus light gases.
Filter Change:
The filter should be changed every 3-6 months or one full heating season.
