Some of our favorite organic licorice root is sustainably wild collected from fields in Kazakhstan, where 14 collectors harvest for nine months out of the year. Although licorice grows like a weed and its wild stands stretch as far as the eye can see, our collectors rotate which fields they harvest to ensure sustainability of this important resource. We are careful to use mature roots because they contain higher amounts of important components, which are also responsible for licorice's characteristic sweetness.

Do not use this product if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, or impaired kidney or liver function; if you are allergic to plants in the daisy (Asteraceae) family like chamomile or plants in the parsley (Apiaceae) family such as fennel.
