The Natural Pesticide that is Safe for Plants and Bees!

Summer is in full-swing with victory gardens, community gardens, and flowers in bloom. Even the White House is spreading the seeds of wisdom, teaching that growing your own food is enriching and offers nutritious packed fun for all involved! According to a recent survey, almost a third of all American households intended to grow food, which was almost a 20% increase over the previous year. Recent studies are also suggesting that exposure to friendly soil bacteria could improve your mood just as effectively as using antidepressant drugs. To quote Mohandas K. Gandhi, "To forget how to dig the earth and to tend the soil is to forget ourselves." Growing a garden for food and beauty brings to light a healthy curiosity for what is safe and non-toxic for humans and the environment to enrich the health of the soil and plants while deterring insects, fungal or bacterial issues on your veggies, flowers, and fruit.

For over 4,000 years, the mighty Neem tree has been providing healthy, safe and therapeutic solutions for people, pets, plants, and the planet. The United Nations declared Neem the tree of the 21st century and Neem is currently cultivated in over 80 countries. Why Neem? Neem (Azadirachta indica) is fondly referred to as the "village pharmacy," and has been used by millions of individuals as a botanical panacea for health and well-being and for protection and prevention against insects and infections for people, pets, and plants. Neem leaves are classically stored with grains and beans to protect them from insect infestations. World-wide, Neem oil is one of the more widely used and safe bio-pesticides in organic agriculture to ward off pests, unwanted levels of bacteria, viruses, and fungi while simultaneously enriching the health and vitality of the soil, plants, and farms as well as being safe for bees and other pollinators.

Natural amendments and garden treatments like Neem oil for gardening offers multi-faceted benefits vs. single "active ingredients." When we use single "active" ingredients as treatments in our garden, we may throw nature a curve ball for a short while and deter pests and disease, but there are often unwanted side effects to this method of treatment. Nature is intelligent and will eventually outsmart a single "active" ingredient and create "super bugs" or "super- bacteria" to combat these simple complexes. When we utilize botanical allies such as Neem oil, we are utilizing thousands of diverse molecules, each of which off ers slightly diff erent actions. Chemical pesticides and fertilizers are transparently being linked to countless diseases for humans, pets, bees, and the environment. What if every gardener knew about Neem oil for safe and healthy gardens?
