Product Description: Upgrading to the Imperial UltraGrav Ceramic Filters filters with a 2.75" diameter advantage gives you up to 54% more suface area for greater filtration performance. This will increase your water volume production and provide you with the maximum amount of clean, pure, filtered water per hour.
The incredibly small pore size of the ceramic restricts parasites, bacteria, sediment, rust, and other particulates down to 0.3 microns from entering the fitler. Combined with a small amount of NON-LEACHABLE silver, the UltraGrav Ceramic is bacteriostatic to prevent re-growth of bacteria. The UltraGrav Ceramic is so efficient, you can take any fresh water source and in approximately 1 hour you will have 1/2 gallon of pure, great tasting, clean, potable drinking water in any situation.
Stage 2: The new METALGON Media removes Fluoride, Heavy Metals, Chloramine, Chlorine, and other VOC's and HAAs that are detrimental to your health. The combined media provides you with the Ultimate Protection in any emergency situation.
Specifications: This filter will not fit in the GS-1 Travel Filter.

Filter Change: We are very careful when making claims about how many gallons of water the filters can purify because they are used in a variety of contaminant conditions. For example, in an Emergency situation your source water could be a lake, river or stream. In this case the ceramic portion of the filter and MetalGon media inside the ceramic could last several thousand gallons with cleaning the outside of the filter. When using the filters with municipal supplied water, again the ceramics can last several thousand gallons but the MetalGon media inside the ceramic will last approximately 600 gallons in water that contains 2 parts per million or less of chlorine. Heavy metal reduction will last approximately 300 gallons per filter. The number of people using the filters and the number and size of the filters will also be factors in how many gallons of water throughput can be achieved.
Return Policy: In the event the filter isn’t working out for you, you may return it within 2 weeks of purchase. You must contact our Customer Service Department for a return authorization number. Complete the return form that was sent with your invoice. Be sure to include any materials you received, such as the instruction booklet, as well as any parts that may have come with the filter. All filters must be put in a separate box so that there are no shipping labels or writing on the original packaging. We suggest you insure the package and all return shipping charges are your responsibility. Upon its return, the filter will be inspected, and if it is in resellable condition we will credit you back less a 10% restocking fee.
In the event the filter is damaged or defective, please save all packing material and contact our Customer Service Department immediately for further instructions.
Additional Info: When the ceramic outershell of the filter gets clogged with dirt and sediment your water pressure will go down. You can restore the water pressure by cleaning the filter. To clean the filter run it under water and rub lightly with an abrasive non-detergent pad (scotch bright). This should remove any dirt and sediment and your water pressure will be restored. Do no use a brillo pad because you may damage the ceramic filter. Do not try to restore the ceramic to the original color. Too much wear can damage the ceramic and reduce the efficiency of the filter.
