This product is formulated using a patent-pending, two-stage, timed-release concept. Half of the Vitamin C is intended to be rapidly released and the remaining Vitamin C is designed to be gradually released over a 12-hour period.† Taking one capsule in the morning and another 12 hours later helps to extend the availability of Vitamin C to the body over a 24-hour period. This product also contains Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Oxide to buffer the natural acidity of Vitamin C.
