Coffee You Can Feel Good About

Like fruits and vegetables, unroasted coffee beans are naturally packed with antioxidant polyphenols. Among the most beneficial of these is chlorogenic acid, a potent antioxidant, which promotes optimal health.

Unfortunately, the antioxidants in most coffee beans are typically destroyed during the roasting process that's required to create a rich dark blend. Rich Rewards™ Breakfast Blend is made from organic Arabica beans using a patented, 100% natural process called HealthyRoast™ which delivers a more complete nutritional profile of the coffee bean, yielding chlorogenic acid levels far greater than other premium brands. And all without sacrificing a drop of rich gourmet flavor!

If you've given up coffee because it upsets your stomach, Rich Rewards™ is the answer. Rich Rewards™ coffee beans are roasted gently and precisely in small batches with no additives or preservatives. And the HealthyRoast™ process preserves the special, naturally-occurring compounds found in coffee beans that make it easy on your stomach.

The 100% USDA Certified-Organic Arabica beans used in Rich Rewards™ are grown deep in the rainforests of Central America using traditional and ecologically-sustainable coffee-growing practices. They're handpicked and Rainforest Alliance certified. While you savor a healthy cup of antioxidant-packed Rich Rewards™ coffee, you can be sure that the rainforest is also staying healthy.

What's Missing From Conventional Coffee?
Not all coffee provides the same powerful protection against chronic disease. Polyphenol availability varies with how long the beans are roasted and the roasting method itself. All roasting destroys some polyphenols, the most important being chlorogenic acid. However, in a new patented roasting process, the coffee beans are soaked and drained prior to being roasted.* Later, after roasting, the beans are deposited back into the same liquid in which they were originally pre-soaked, in a process designed to return substantial polyphenol content to the beans.

Some individuals find drinking coffee late in the day interferes with sleep or they have religious or other reasons to avoid caffeine. No problem. Decaffeinated coffee also has a similar rich antioxidant potency like the caffeinated variety.

Life Extension ® offers two new coffees (caffeinated and decaffeinated) exclusively roasted using this patented polyphenol-retaining process. Studies clearly show the health benefits of coffee increase directly with the number of cups consumed per day. These patented polyphenol-retaining coffees provide far greater concentrations of the beneficial compounds found in coffee. As many as 4 to 12 cups a day of conventional coffee greatly reduce the risk of most major diseases, including cardiovascular disease,6-8 diabetes,12-14 liver disease,15-17 and Alzheimer's disease.18-20 These new "polyphenol-retaining" coffees may provide equal benefits with only half the number of cups consumed.
