IV Delivery in Heavy Metal Chelation Is a Thing of the Past
Contributed by World Health Products Many of today's degenerative diseases— high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, prostate issues, and others—have been associated with significant accumulation of heavy metals in the body. Nearly every American has higher than normal levels of these dangerous toxins as they are present in our air, food, and water. These toxins literally suppress our ability to stay vibrant and healthy, affecting almost every aspect of the body's metabolism, circulation, and other vital functions. So, as important as what you put into your body is for good health, equally important is the choice to remove unwanted heavy metals through chelation— and keep them out of your body. The amino acid and chelating agent, ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) has a long history of reversing all sorts of cardiovascular diseases including hypertension, angina, claudication, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmias. It also dissolves occlusive plaques that can block important neck, heart, and leg vessels where surgery was contraindicated, as well as removes cholesterol plaque and lowers cholesterol. In addition, EDTA is so safe it has been FDA-approved for over 40 years. One of the important things EDTA does is remove heavy metal toxins from circulation, enhancing cardiovascular blood flow and function. Heavy metals attack the endothelium, the thin layer of cells that line the inside surface of the heart and blood vessel walls. In an attempt to heal itself, the endothelium launches an inflammatory response to destroy unwanted guests. Inflammatory reactions cause the endothelium's structure to become permeable, particularly to low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and macrophages (immune cells). These particles enter the site of injury and, being an adhesive, begin to accumulate lipids (fats), complex carbohydrates, blood and its products, fibrous tissue, oxidized particles, and calcium deposits onto the cell lining, resulting in a fatty streak. This streak may form into plaques and, ultimately, atherosclerosis—a condition by which blood pathways are blocked and arteries narrowed and the main cause for heart attack and strokes. Chelation removes metals from the endothelial lining, restoring its integrity and the body's ability to create nitric oxide, which increases vasodilation and blood flow. Another theory is that EDTA removes the sticky plaque, converting the dangerous plaque solids to a liquid which is then eliminated via the body's natural mechanisms. DISADVANTAGES OF IV CHELATION Intravenous (IV) EDTA chelation consists of giving calcium disodium EDTA (CaNa2EDTA) slowly over three or four hours, at a dosage of two to three grams per treatment. Though this therapy has literally given many renewed vitality, it does have drawbacks:
Fortunately, an alternative has opened the world of heavy metal detoxification. Detoxamin® Chelation Suppositories, from World Health Products, are medically equivalent to the traditional IV method, while avoiding its disadvantages. The CaNa2EDTA found in the IV version has been incorporated into these proprietary chelation rectal suppositories. The dosage is smaller so that it does not put as much strain on the body since each suppository contains 750 mg of CaNa2EDTA (about a quarter of regular IV dosage),which is slowly absorbed through the sigmoid colon (while you sleep), gently detoxifying your body of heavy metals. Other advantages of Detoxamin include:
Lightening your body of its heavy metal load as well as reducing your risk of disease has become easier and more economical with EDTA chelation suppositories. |
