Mouthing Off — Moving from Artificial to Natural Dental Care

People will generally choose natural versions of dental products if they offer the same benefits as their commercial counter parts and are absent of those ingredients which may be associated with possible ill effects. Common artificial ingredients found in dental products include propylene glycol and aspartame, which have been associated with metabolic problems.
Generally speaking, natural ingredient products do not use animal ingredients and have not been tested on animals. Natural replacements from plants, while still maintaining function and stability, are also considered better for the environment. Natural ingredients, therefore, are generally perceived as safer, if not more beneficial.
