Product Description: Safe drinking water is often taken for granted, yet in many parts of the world reliable supplies of clean water are at a premium. In many circumstances a piped supply is not available and surface water from rivers, streams or water holes present the only source of water. In this case the water may appear unclear and have an unpleasant taste, but more importantly is often a source of disease. Even clear and apparently fresh water may be polluted with disease causing pathogens. Gravity Feed does the job when a main water supply is not available. Great for weather disasters, RV's, campers and traveling. The unit can be assembled quickly and easily.
Specifications: * The housing is stainless steel.
* It stands 10 inches tall x 3.25 inches in diameter.
* When collapsed down for transportation it is 7.5 inches high and 3.25 inches in diameter.
* The top chamber will hold up to 28 ounces of water and the bottom chamber will hold up to 24 ounces of filtered water.
* It also comes with its own travel pouch.
Cleaning Area: * It will filter up to 1,000 gallons of water (depending on water quality) and has an output of 8 ounces every 30 minutes.
* The Gravity Feed Filters will remove parasites (cryptosporidium and giardia) >99.99%. Absolute filtration efficiency at 0.9 microns is 99.999% and particles sized 0.5 - 0.8 microns is reduced >99.9%. Reduces turbidity greater than 99.69%
Filter Media: The filter is a three stage filtration system:
* The first stage is Bentonite Kieselguhr ceramic which filters out parasites, bacteria, rust, dirt and sediment from the water. A small amount of silver baked into the ceramic inhibits the growth of bacteria.
* The second stage is made up of activated coconut shell carbon which reduces chlorine, chemicals, pesticides, bad taste and odors.
* The third stage is a heavy metal removing compound, which is incorporated in the carbon block called A.T.S. (titanium zeolite) that reduces lead and copper.
Filter Change: The filter should be changed every 1000 gallons.
Warranty: This water purifier comes with a one-year limited manufacturer's warranty against material defects for the housing, faucet, connectors, and ceramic filter element, excluding any accessories or additional parts installed by a plumber with the following conditions. The filter shows no evidence it has been tampered with or that it has been subject to misuse, abuse or negligent use. No repair or alteration of the filter has been made by someone other than CWR. The filter shows no evidence it was either improperly installed, operated or used for a purpose for which it was not intended.
Return Policy: In the event the unit isn’t working out for you, you may return it within 2 weeks of purchase. You must contact our Customer Service Department for a return authorization number. Complete the return form that was sent with your invoice. Be sure to include any materials you received, such as the instruction booklet, as well as any parts that may have come with the unit. All units must be put in a separate box so that there are no shipping labels or writing on the original packaging. We suggest you insure the package and all return shipping charges are your responsibility. Upon its return, the unit will be inspected, and if it is in resellable condition we will credit you back less a 10% restocking fee.

In the event the unit is damaged or defective, please save all packing material and contact our Customer Service Department immediately for further instructions.
Additional Info: When the ceramic outershell of the filter gets clogged with dirt and sediment your water pressure will go down. You can restore the water pressure by cleaning the filter. To clean the filter run it under water and rub lightly with an abrasive non-detergent pad (scotch bright). This should remove any dirt and sediment and your water pressure will be restored. Do no use a brillo pad because you may damage the ceramic filter. Do not try to restore the ceramic to the original color. Too much wear can damage the ceramic and reduce the efficiency of the filter.
