With pure and simple ingredients, our black soap is produced traditionally from unrefined shea butter and palm kernel oil. No chemical preservatives, color enhancers or fragrances. Empower - Our certified fair trade shea butter cooperative and community projects encourage self empowerment and gender equality for the women in our West African communities. Africa loses 40,400 square kilometers of forest per year to logging, fuel use, and climate change. In 2009, we donated 1,000 fruit and forage trees to woman farmers in central Togo. These trees will help mitigate effects of climate change and combat desertification. We allocate at least 10% of our sales to our community enhancement projects.
