End Allergies and Asthma Misery
By Stanley D. Headley, M.D., N.D.

More than 50 million people in the United States suffer from allergies and asthma, for which there is no known cure. Some also develop bronchitis—inflammation of the lung airways, or rhinitis—recurring swelling and dry or runny congestion of the nasal passages. Additionally, many of these same poor souls are among the roughly 32 million who suffer from chronic sinusitis or sinus infections.

These aren’t always connected, but one often leads to another due to prescriptions that treat symptoms without getting to the root cause, sometimes making the problem worse and creating additional side effects, which may then require further treatment.

For example, rhinitis can be associated with “hay fever”—sneezing and runny nose from environmental allergies, especially spring and fall pollen, dust mites, and animal dander. Or, it can result from the long-term use of spray decongestants or antihistamines for chronic allergies. A person with rhinitis may think they’re having another allergy attack, when it’s just a side effect of their medication.

Food allergies can bring on asthma-like attacks. Dairy, wheat, peanuts, and food dye are some common food allergens. There is one gentleman I know who is so allergic to potatoes that even the steam from their cooking gives him difficulty breathing. When he was young, his family ate potatoes nearly nightly, however, never connected the potatoes to his attacks. His pediatrician diagnosed him with asthma.

Whatever the case, the person suffering from allergies and asthma is usually given prescription medication, such as antihistamines, steroids and corticosteroids, a NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory), or is advised to take a milder over-the-counter version. The potato-allergy sufferer was on a steroidal asthma inhaler for years until he discovered the real problem. Taking these medications by ingestion or by inhaler can result in many different side effects and full-blown diseases, such as:

  • Inflammation in joints, muscle weakness
  • New allergies
  • Digestive problems
  • Eczema-type skin conditions
  • Yeast build-up in mucus membranes: Sinuses, esophagus, bronchial tubes, intestines, genitals
  • Dry mouth and "thrush" (oral yeast), difficulty urinating, constipation
  • Nightmares and stunted growth in children
  • Weight gain, diabetes, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, fluid retention, and cataracts—most of these from orally taken medications

  • We must also consider the repercussions of antibiotics as a solution for a sinus infection or rhinitis that may result from allergy and asthma attacks. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises the use of antibiotics for purely bacterial infections. Yet nearly 98% of nasal infections may start from virus and mucus build-up from both sinus infections and rhinitis, which often attracts fungus in the swollen tissue.

Antibiotics do not work on fungal infections—they perpetuate them, and they are known for causing subsequent yeast infections as they kill off our “good” bacteria (balanced intestinal flora) and make “bad” bacteria like the fungal yeast candida albicans flourish. The CDC further states that tens of millions of antibiotics are prescribed in doctors’ offices each year for sinus-associated symptoms of colds, flu, and allergy; conditions that cannot effectively be treated this way.

This has created “superbugs”—bacteria resistant to antibiotic treatment. So, when we use them unnecessarily, we set ourselves up for a needless “double whammy;” our bodies may resist the antibiotic when it is really called for, and we are actually adding to the fungus which may already be there.

As new side effects occur, rather than considering the bigger picture, the number of medications mounts, the person’s immune system is lowered, and the body depends on these medicines instead of its own resources. Symptoms often return when the medication is finished, and the root problem still hasn’t been solved.

In contrast to chemically and synthetically compounded medicines which cause these life-changing and debilitating side effects, homeopathic remedies are made with nature’s elements (herbs, organics, etc.) that react well with the human body’s own healing properties to solve underlying problems.

A simple solution without side effects, is Växa’s Aller-Sine, a homeopathic medicinal for allergies that complements the body’s natural ability to reduce histamines and other toxins. It works proactively to enhance the immune system and cellular integrity. Human mast cells control the body’s allergic reactions. If mast cells rupture, they typically release free histamines into the bloodstream, causing the allergy symptoms to erupt. Most allergy medications simply mask the symptoms of what is still happening in the body. Aller-Sine actually prevents mast cells from rupturing, thereby inhibiting the release of histamines and preventing the allergic response from ever occurring in the first place, and without inducing sleepiness. In fact, it counters the drowsiness caused by the body’s own serotonin release.

DL-methionine, L-lysine, bioflavonoids in white pine bark, homeopathics, and other micro-nutritionals within Aller-Sine help the body stabilize mast cells. Its micro-nutritionals also stimulate the adrenals and thyroid, while redirecting and strengthening the immune and lymphatic responses. It also helps the body naturally regulate adrenal production of corticosteroids, which exhibit anti-inflammatory activity.

    OTHER WAYS TO REDUCE ALLERGIES:

  • Take garlic tablets or eat garlic
  • Take gingko biloba and extra vitamin C
  • Keep the home dry and ventilated with fresh air
  • Keep pet hair short or look for breeds that are known for not causing allergies
  • Watch for signs of mold on walls and ceilings
  • If severe allergies are present in children, bare floors are better than carpeting.

  • If you are looking for a natural solution to combat allergies and asthma, consider homeopathic products and the only side effect will be relief.
